Q1) Welcome to my blog, Dominique. Please tell us a little about yourself

Yes, I am a published author of fifteen books. I write in the genres of Urban/Christian Fiction, Poetry, Inspiration and Mystery and Suspense. I am the owner of PEN’Ashe Literary Magazine and Diamond M’Press Publications. I am also a literary mentor.

Q2) An accomplished writer. Great to have you with us. Have you always wanted to be an author?

No. I went to school for cosmetology. I’ve always had a love for writing though. My grandmother inspired me to publish my first book.

Q3) It's so nice when I meet other writers who did other things before writing. Who are some of your favorite writers? Who do you feel has influenced your writing?

My favorite authors are Joy Deja King and James Patterson. I love Joy’s hustle as a self-publisher. She’s a woman of many hats. I love James Patterson because he tells such compelling stories. I love anything that’s of mystery.

Q4) Will have to check out Joy's work. So tell us what a typical writing day for you is like.

Well if I need to sit down and work on a book I like to shut out the world and simply write. I write without editing or anything else. My office is in the front of my house so I have the blinds open. Sometimes I’ll sit on the floor or at my desk with a cup of tea or Starbucks White Chocolate Hot Chocolate or my favorite snack.

Q5) Cool. I love shutting the world out too when I'm writing. Now, let’s talk about your new book. Can you tell us a little about it?

Yes, Concealed Betrayal 4: My Saving Grace is the last book in the Concealed Betrayal Series. It’s a Christian Fiction series that stared off with a woman having an emotional affair after her husband fell into a depressed state after the loss of his mother. In the 3rd book tragedy hit close to home for some of the characters. Book four picks up right where book three left off answering a lot of questions and closing the story up nicely. I like to call my work a replica of Tyler Perry with a twist. There’s always a moral or lesson somewhere.

Synopsis
Harmony has just lost her father. In need of a mother’s touch, she goes to visit her mother only to find her knocking on death's door. Meanwhile, Zora has found a new life and new love in her ex. She’s beaming from ear to ear and things couldn’t be better until she realizes the hurt and pain her Goddaughter is facing. Zora takes matters into her own hands bringing healing to those closest to her. Concealed Betrayal 4: My Saving Grace is the perfect end to a heartfelt series. With readers wondering about past enemies and new loves, all questions are answered while visiting past friends and mending broken hearts. Concealed Betrayal 4 will not leave you dry eyed.

Q6) Sounds fascinating. How did you come up with the idea for this story?

I’m not sure where the idea for the series came from. I just got the idea and went with it. I wasn’t planning to write four parts to this series but the fans fell in love with it. So I went with it.

Q7) Fabulous! So, what is up next for you?

I will be re-releasing my poetry collection under my publishing company. Then I will be releasing the paperback version of my Secrets and Deception series. The next book to follow will be the 2nd book in my Scarlett Fry series. That will drop on August 16th.

Q8) You're a busy lady. Best wishes for all your projects. What is the best piece of advice you would give to a budding writer?

Learn every area of the business. Stay true to who you are and don’t allow a bump in the road to keep you from your dreams.

Q9) Great advice! What is the next book on your To Read Pile that you are dying to jump into?

Probably Rum Runner by JA Konrath or Furious by TR Ragan.
